Thanks Johntee - I got there in the end.
On a different point I have noticed that Rai, mezzo and Equidia PRO are not clearing now. DK and Globo are fine as are **** channels (with card)
Any advice on the softcam would be greatfully received

@Giga:
Sorry mate but wasnt having a 'go' at YOU, but the ORIGINAL perpetrator of this file and its new features - something as important (?) as this surely needs some serious explanation?
So YOU are a great guy who obviously tries as hard as the rest of us to fathom things out!
Thanks again for all your recent input, much appreciated!:respect-067:

I'm sure we get further guidance on what we can further discuss on this item or if this was the limit?
Cheers mate - only prob is I never WAS very good with the 8281 option, although I did get a few 'feeds' ok - but never very good ones, or for very long!:respect-055:
LNB measurement (4 possible):
select your satelitte (multifeed)
22Khz: OFF Polarization: V: 10.700 ~ 11.700 HHz
22Khz: ON Polarization: V: 11.700 ~ 12.750 HHz
22Khz: OFF Polarization: H: 10.700 ~ 11.700 HHz
22Khz: ON Polarization: H: 11.700 ~ 12.750 HHz
The frequency range displayed is determined by a transponder list of a satelitte/satellite position.
Thanx for all that mate - maybe you can PM me when you actually get one to work - with the settings etc?:respect-067:

protocol used: only N e w c a m d so you need details for that one:
ID = u s e r n a m e or l o g i n
password for that s e r v e r
D E S - K E Y needed to (en/de)c r y p t the trafic. That is all i figured out.
I think you can find additional information here:
Ethernet & Serial Treat <= click on there

Hi
Thanks for your help so far. I was using the wrong cable. I now have an ethernet cable from stb to laptop. But still can't get connected. I try connecting and it stays disconnected.
Any further help will be appreciated
cheers
jblo
If you go from laptop to the stb without passing a router or switch, you should use a crossover cable <= read here
if using a router:
DHCP usage <= click here
gateway, subnet mask, ... <= click here
Connecting the STB direct to the router via ethernet cable only seems to work on connections number 1 to 4. I've tried several combinations of connections in tne various boxes, but only 1 to 4 seem to connect. The connections from 5 upwards may have to go through a computer, as you said earlier. Still a learning curve on this one. Can't seem to find any info on it anywhere. I'll keep plugging away.
Regards, JT.
could also be for future use?
