If you have a memory stick, format it to fat32, so the TM can read it.
download modified patch here, unpack and put stb on stick.
USB menu datatransfer and load the file. (select and press ok)
go here and download softcam, unzip, put in on the stick
USB menu datatransfer and load the file. (select and press ok)

keep reading, some interesting reading in this section.

If i'm not mistaken the 680 is not a patch this is the official firmware. Pathed firmware have a p assigned to the number, 679p is for the moment the latest patch. You can find this one here:

Hi mate - can you please explain exactly WHERE you obtained the 'Compass 680' patch you say you have downloaded?

    @drahcirk.
Sorry you find the tm6900 useless. I have had mine now for a few months, and have never had any probs. Mine is the super combo. My mate has one not to far from me and the only problem he has, his wont blind search, as mine will without a glitch. Hope you have better luckwith the replacement. I guess just like a new car, you got a bad one. Cheers.

    Question Super Combo

I'm sorry too, as MY TM6900HD Super Combo is exactly as its described - SUPER!!
Really cant imagine what poor drahkirk's probs are - he must be so unlucky!
The only disappointment I have is on the operation of the 'secret menu' about which we cannot make discussion - which is a real PAIN when that's the only problem that I have with my beautiful stb! Everything else is sheer brilliance - to ME at any rate!
I have however had some 'limited' success with that (secret) side of it!

    tm6900

I think drahcirk was just unlucky. Its like getting a new car, they say one in every 1.000 or so is a dud, That is what happened to drahcirk, Hope they give him a new one. cheers. :cheers2:

@Drahcirk...... Why did you think it was a pile of crap.

i think mine is the dogs doodahs, ...................
with the exception of the flakey nature of the pvr setup. Regularly I set something up to record and it doesnt happen.

Other than this its great. ps I think the recording failures may be something to do with the ext HD going to sleep and I really haven't had time to play with it too much. I'm hoping that when i apply myself to the problem it will go away.

I have also just networked the unit and am looking forward to trying to cs, maybe from a premium server. If I have any luck I'll report back.

raising my hand in support of the super + too, I bought two, one for me and one for a friend, one was faulty, wouldn't recognise anything plugged into the USB ports, got that replaced and both me and my mate are over the moon with our TM's.

find it a bit difficult to believe iv been unlucky twice, the 5400. wont recognize cams, the tm6900 super plus sent back had to have a new board, got that back yesterday, kept switching itself on and off, plus it kept searching for sat /positioner, im non motorised, waiting to get a new replacement, cost me nearly £40.00 quid in postage, tm tried to say it was my cams causing the trouble so sent them of to them ,no prob with cams,. they said,. also forgot to say the remote ,u have to press the buttons 2/3/4 times to get it to respond.
