Using a MAC and Roxio Toast with HD plugin in you can - windows I've no idea sorry but I'm sure there will be a way if you look hard enough. OR you could just watch 'em using a HD media player - loads of 'em at Digitalera & kjglobal.

Update. Here is text taken from a downloaded MKV file : ****

Comments : This is in .MKV, but you can convert it to a AVCHD, that
you can play in a Playstation 3 or any Blu-ray player.

What is .MKV? : .MKV is a container that can contain most audio and video
types. In this case MPEG4 video (H.264) and Dolby Digital.
It is very suited for playback on a computer and small
media file players like Popcorn Hour, TViX and alike.

What is AVCHD? : AVCHD is a format simular to Blu-ray. It has the same basic
structure, but can be saved on a ordinary cheap DVD9. AVCHD
is not the same as a real Blu-ray, but have superior
video and sound quality compared with a ordinary DVD.
Run the batchfile CREATE_AVCHD.bat and follow the
instructionsBurn. Burn it to a quality DVD9 (double layer)
and use a standard Blu-ray player with support for AVCHD.

What is removed?: This movie is from a Blu-ray and have been recoded with a
smaller bitrate (less quality) to make it fit a standard
DVD9. Extra's etc. have been removed.

Also look at Ripbot & Clown BD. Both are excellent free progs. I personally rip em to a 1.5TB HDD and watch them through a WD TV player.
