Question sly signal strength in uk?

Hi all,Ive recently installed a new 90 cm dish and im only getting just over 50- 60% from sly at 28.2 degs, should i be getting it stronger than that?It was a quick install so will probably have to mess about with it over the weekend to get it better aligned.I do get around 80% from Thor tho on BBC HD but i cant get 30 % west, cheers,EDGE.

I get 94% with a 98cm dish in the SW when pointing to 28.2.
As long as you are aligned correctly you should get that sort of strength anywhere in the UK with a 90cm dish.

    Hi EDGE,

Some of 28e are low Sig (Quality) channels.
Signal Quality below 17 % = Black Screen.
    Its Sig Quality that counts.
Take (True Movies), if I receive a Sig Quality of 30%
that counted as Good, on my 80cm Dish.

If I goto 1w Telenor's HD channels, 100% Sig quality
is the norm. Same with 30w, 100% on arround 25% of channels.

EDGE, Try this if your in (USALS), Tweek your Longitude
    to Up your Signal.
If your Longitude is say 1,4w, change it to 1,6w, see
if your Sig changes for the better.

16e is a low signal on my 80cm Dish, but if I change
my Longitude by 1 digree (I seems a lot) I can
    up the Signal.

    Hi sonic1,

True Movies has been low on my System for years on
the humax 5400ir and the humax HDCI2000.
At the same time channels like BBc HD pull
in a Sig Quality of 97%, switch to True Movies, 27%.

True Movies Sig on the Passion + on the same dish pulls in
    a Sig Quality of 55%.
The Passion is also twice as fast at channel changing (Zapping)
with the Diablo Cam, as that of the Humax.

On my 98cm dish I get 84% which is a drop, on my 43cm mini dish it comes in on 46% but I still get a picture on my DM800 and DM7000.

It is one of the worst channels on my 98cm with the DM7020 which in fairness does have the greatest tuner.

Where in the UK are you Bbigfoot ?

    Hi sonic1,

    @ 55n...1.4w...Toon...Tyne Wear.
    I moved a Zone 1 mini dish 43cm
to (1w..0.8w). can pickup Digitv and
Telenor. Telenor has High and low channels.
The High signal channels like HD, 0.8w come
in at 87% Sig Quality. The others are around 65%.

To up the Sig from 31% low channels,
64% High Channels on telenor you neen to change
S@Ys LNB skew from 15% to the left off Vertical to
    3% off Vertical.

Digitv is Ok in fair weather (30% Digi Film 1,2)
Sig Quality. Black screen in the rain.
