Hi pimps, playin around with my new receiver, does anybody know where to find the HD flag , ??
it was wrote in a post....
"You need to set the HD Flag to clear HD channels in 4:2:2."
"Click on the Menu button and then select add HD Flag and the image will come."
but where is it ?

TJ.
With the latest firmware does not need to enter the "FLAG HD"

another quick question, what is the latest firmware, this machine has potential, but with no instructions in the box,its a complete new learning game.

With the last firmware feeds 4:2:2 HD work perfectly
Nasky's reply has convinced me to go for an Azbox. How sensitive is the tuner for weak feeds? How good is picture quality on 4.2.2 dvb-s2?
regards from a new member
I'm also thinking of getting an Azbox, would also like to know how sensitive the tuner is. Would also like to know whats the lowest symbol rate it can lock on to in both DVB and DVB-S2 modes. For example, with my current Humax HDCI2000 i can get as low as SR 1100 in DVB mode and an SR of 3404 in DVB-S2 mode. Can someone test it on a low SR channel in DVB-S2 mode? Distrivison on Hispasat would be a good one to try (11647V SR 1667 FEC 5/6 DVB-S2 8PSK). Thanks in advance!
Can anyone tell me for sure that they can with Azbox lock on to 4.2.2 dvbs2 feeds? and how It's achieved!
I've been trying for ages and failing.
regards amn
amn - What I would suggest is you check out a working live feed from this site satelliweb.com/index.php
Try all the obvious settings, then if still stuck start a new thread
In this new thread you should put all the feed details and ask other people to confirm they can get the feed, and then ask them to say what settings they used.
Thanks Burnham, After trying everything else I changed to a new lnb and played around with the skew and lo and behold I've got the dvb-s2 tennis feeds! My fault not the Azbox!

just wondering, whats exaxtly is "4.2.2"?
4:2:2 is another Digital TV transmission format. 99.9% of channels are in 4:2:0.
Google 4:2:2 for wikipedia's eight page expalanation of the techy details.
They are all working since few released back, harris or any oher encoder.
So how do I get to watch 4:2:2? Which channels exactly are 4:2:2 (or are they all 4:2:2 already?) and do I have to do anything extra except then going to a 4:2:2 channel, like enabling it or something?

I don't think you quite get it.
4:2:2 is a professional format used to distribute material. You are not really meant to see it, so this material is usually on a satellite "off the beaten track".
When the guys spot the feeds, they post them stating that they are in this 4:2:2 format.
