    HD & 422 feed hunting

    Hello All,

I need to upgrade my kit I currently have:

    Echostar 3600
    Quali-tv for 422 feeds

I'm interested in feed hunting and I'm unsure what receiver to buy which will allow me to:

Blind scan for HD and 422 feeds (does it exist?)

Opologies if this question has been asked before, however reading the many threads I'm beginning to get confused!

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction

    Thanks for your help.

! EDIT; My post just below is partly outdated and no longer fully accurate.

A receiver with the mentioned characteristics does not exist on the domestic market.
No domestic HD receiver will decode 4:2:2 croma.
Only one or two DVB-S2 capable units have hardware blindscan...and in these cases the results have not really made any big waves!

Believe me, weŽd all like to see a proper hardware DVB-S2 blindscan and 4:2:2 decoding in a domestic receiver but it is just not happening. YouŽll have to look to the future or dig deep and buy professional gear...and you wonŽt find it cheap on fleabay just yet!

Does anyone know whether the Azbox will support 422 feeds in DVB-S?

Yes it does support 4:2:2 DVB-S/S2 but not blind scan yet... firmware is still beta.

Users have reported that this box does NOT do DVB-S2 4:2:2.

Only does DVB-S 4:2:2. With an increasing number of feeds moving to dvb-s2, I hope they will add this capability.

    Ok, time to update.

THE AZBOX PREMIUM PLUS does hardware blind scanning, and 4:2:2 HD feeds.

    CONFIRMED from various sources.
