Sly box behind Foxsat HD PVR on loopback output?

    Hi,

Fitting a Foxsat HD PVR for a friend, who is silly fanatic on wanting to pay the murdoch s*** because he cannot live without his sports package....

I was planning on just using the original cord and wire the old sly box to the LNB 1 loop through on the Foxsat. They are ok with having to switch off the Foxsat while watching the Sly box. It mostly works, but on some channels it sometimes reports no signal, then the signal comes, then it goes. It's an old Panasonic Sly box, which doesn't have a pass through.

Anyone seen this problem? Was wondering if it was the Foxsat watching for updates or something and setting the polarisation or if it might be the cable thats a bit dodgy?

Could run new cables, but it's a pain in the rear to do so especially this time of year :-(

    Thanks
    S:

Maybe try using a splitter instead of the loop through, and report back ?

It could be the old panny slybox or it could be the voltage control from the foxsat.
