m2 plus problem using smargo card reader

i currently got my smargo working with nds card but i bought a m2 plus card which ive programmed correctly but when i use it on my dm 800 it wont clear the channels on 1 west.all i get in intitlements is conax card.so i no it reconises the card ok.but im really stuck on what to try next ive tried loads of diffrent cccam versions but nothing works.pls help as i no im not the only 1 with this problem.kegster2006

I was under the impression that no one has yet got the m2 plus card to work in the dm800. Most put it in another box and share it to the 800

i ave no idea how to link my dreambox 500s to my dreambox 800 or id do that

Get it reading in your 500 using cccam and newcs. Then:

Put an F: line into your cccam.cfg file on your db500 as something like.

F: kegster Kegster1

Then put a c: line into your cccam config on your db800 as

C: (db box ip without brackets) 12000 kegster kegster1

This should allow you to join the two together.

You can actually do it by putting an N: line into your db800 but try the above first.

i think i will wait for a fix for the 800 as cant seem to download emus anymore on my dreambox 500 and ive tried loads of times to get cccam set up for sharing my two boxes and never had any luck.thanks for ur help.kegster2006

I have has it working on tm9100 on cccam 2.09 and newcs 1.5 pheonix au. also gbox 2.25 works without alteration. I got some help getting it working though on cccam and newcs.

okies..

guys to close the whole subject / debate on the card... m2+ card does not work on the internal reader using cccam.. it does not work using using smargo..

It does however .. work using Newcs or Gbox?

Please state verisons that actually work using the card.

If the card works with NewCS ( anyversion ) then you can get it on your 8000
Set it up on your 500 with NewCs and put an N line in your 8000

If you need any help with set up let me know.

why use a cam in the DB?

why are you posting on the 800 forum and not the 8000?

You can only use NewCs 1.60 and above on the 800 as older versions will fry your card.

Just to let you know before you try, new versions of newcs do not work with m2+ card.

I use newcs_1.16RC9

You can also use Scam or newcamd/cardserver.

If you did a search in the m2+ card sub forum you would have found all this out.

To be honest if you can't get the card to work in the db500 and connect the db800 to it then I think you are out of your depth.

I've been doing a little bit of reading and have discovered that since Gemini 3.9 was released Gb0x on the DM800 is able to read cards in the internal slot.
I've been using Mbox and NewCS for a while and plan to try this out on my Sly card tonight. Has anyone given the M2+ a go in the internal reader with gb0x?
