Samsung text message tones?

My wife has just got a new phone Samsung e570.
I have done some mp3 ringtones and uploaded them but there only seems to be 4 standard tones for text messages.
Is there any way to convert mp3's to the format that the samsung uses ? not sure what format that is.

afraid not my friend i have explored in to this as i have a samsung so i guess we will have to put up with it
