E2 - For people stuck with Geeko :P on the VFD

I was using the wrong file to install azup. It was AzboxEnigma2RESCUE.exe

I've loaded e2 finally. thanks guys. no wifi tho and how do I mount an usb stick?

Have read the info. Still can not get ip when try to put officail firmware back on az prem. plus. Instructions say that an ip must be on vfd in resque mode to start the f.w.on usb with azup1.1 We have no menue -no screen period. Have watched E2 load with AZUP 1.1 and all the standard procedures listed in instuctions took place- we think. Still no screen and can only reboot after holding power button on remote- we have no other control with remote .Thanks for any response.

Do you rename the official firmware binary into: patch.bin (so suppress all the version reference before patch.bin) and copy it to the root of a brand newly FAT32 formatted USB stick?

If you didn't fall into Rescue Mode it is because there is no patch.bin file on the root of your USB stick.

I need a bit of help here please. After years with the dreambox I got myself an Azbox premium HD. Im stuck on the geeko on the screen and then rescue mode. I cant get the ip even after pressing ok on the remote. The screen just goes black. Any help please.

I have restored the original image back onto it now. Will have a good read through befor attempting again. A few cobwebs after been working with the dreambox for years.

Guys my reciever shows rescue mode alright after usb and reboot - but no ip address is displayed.
Have searched for ip using jazup but no joy.

Can anyone help?
