How do I add a server to Plex?
Create a new Library
Click the + Add Library button.
Choose the appropriate Library Type.
Name the Library if the default name doesn't suit you.
Click Next.

Choose Add once done.
Add additional folders if required in the same way.

Your NAS is not powerful enough to transcode on the fly, but if a movie doesn't need transcoded it will work fine. Personally I think Kodi is far better than Plex. Both do the same sort of thing. If you don't know the difference between the two you don't need Plex and you should stick to Kodi as it's free and doesn't need any subscription to do anything.Quote:

Sorry to disagree m8, kodi is only good for the ****, lol, PLEX is free, if you put IPTV (paid) its a 100% better, the one I have is instant play no buffering, sorry but i hate kodi, but its better than nothing.
Running plex on my i5 synology NAS - a DIY system, normal MB, 16GB ram, 5 x 6 TB HDD
will cope with transcoding for 2 people!
